In which cases can sling surgery (TOT, sling) be performed to treat urinary incontinence? What is its success rate?

If stress incontinence occurs during coughing or sneezing, these patients are suspected of having weakness in the urinary-holding muscles, tears due to childbirth, a drooping bladder (cystocele), or decreased pelvic floor support due to menopause. In such cases, because the problem is mechanical, medical treatments are generally inadequate. Sling surgery (TOT or SLING) for stress incontinence can be considered quite successful. If these procedures are performed on the right patients, complete urinary incontinence resolution is observed in 80% of cases after surgery.
