Undescended Testis
What should be done if the ovary is not palpable or has moved upwards?
If your child is 6 months or older and you can't feel any of their ovaries in the scrotum, or if their ovaries are displaced toward the groin area, they should definitely be examined by a urologist. An undescended testicle can cause your child to experience both infertility and, more importantly, more serious complications such as testicular cancer. Treatment for undescended testicles may require certain medications (especially hormonal therapy) and surgery. This decision will be made by the child's doctor, taking into account the child's age, ultrasound findings, and physical examination.
