Can Endoscopic Kidney Stone Surgery Be Done for Every Stone?
Endoscopic intervention is possible for all kidney, ureteral, and bladder stones. Even very large stones, such as 5 cm, can sometimes be resolved with several sessions of endoscopy. However, some stones may be too large, are inappropriately located, or have a narrow urinary tract, making endoscopic surgery unsuitable. However, in such cases, other surgical options should still be considered.
